We work in a hybrid mode 3+2, with a minimum of 3 days at the office (with mandatory Tuesdays and Wednesdays) and a maximum of 2 days at the home office.
The location of our office is Holandská 873/6, Brno – Štýřice, 639 00.
We employ only via an employment contract – full-time employment (HPP).
About the team: Our team's primary focus is monitoring our customers' Kubernetes clusters using our own distribution of the OpenTelemetry (OTel) Collector. We collect, process, and enrich metrics, logs, and traces, which are then visualized in the SolarWinds Observability platform. We are a collaborative, international team that owns its services end to end — from design through production operation.

Your role: You will join a scrum team responsible for building the SolarWinds Observability SaaS platform — specifically its Kubernetes monitoring capabilities. Working closely with a product owner and fellow engineers, you will design, review, build, and continuously improve features that customers rely on at scale. As a senior member of the team, you will also help shape technical direction, mentor others, and raise the bar on engineering quality.

Your impact:
- You and your team own the full development lifecycle — from prototyping and design through development, testing, deployment, and production operation.
- You write high-quality, well-tested code and take responsibility for its reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- You use AI-assisted development tools and follow our Spec-Driven Development (SDD) process as part of your daily workflow to ship higher-quality software faster.
- You give and receive support to grow both technical and soft skills, including mentoring less experienced engineers.
- You collaborate with teams across an international environment to meet product and organizational goals.
- You help the team follow best practices, define standards, and continuously improve how we work.
Qualifications: Must have:
- At least 2+ years of professional experience with Golang and React.
- Solid understanding of software development processes and procedures.
- Ability and willingness to learn and apply new and innovative technologies.
- A collaborative, curious, and innovative mindset, and a genuine team-player attitude.
- The skills to write clean, maintainable code and follow commonly used practices such as unit/automation testing and secure product development.
- Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., AI coding assistants) in real-world software development.
- Good written and verbal English, as we work in a multinational company.
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with Spec-Driven Development (SDD) or similar structured, spec-first workflows.
- Experience with Apollo Client.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry.
- Experience with end-to-end (E2E) test automation.
- Experience with IT technologies (systems management, cloud, networking).
- Experience building scalable, distributed applications.
