EnExGroup is a leading European energy exchange providing a comprehensive suite of energy market services. It operates the Spot Electricity Markets, the Energy Derivatives Market, the Natural Gas Trading Platform, and a dedicated Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) platform. With its expanding portfolio, EnExGroup plays a central role in supporting the integration and efficient operation of Greece’s energy markets within the broader European energy landscape. The Group consists of the Hellenic Energy Exchange S.A. (HEnEx S.A.) and EnEx Clearing House S.A. (EnExClear S.A.). How it started HEnEx was established on 18 June 2018, following the spin-off of the Electricity Market branch of LAGIE S.A. (now DAPEEP S.A.). Building on over a decade of experience operating the Day-Ahead Scheduling Energy Transactions System, HEnEx was designated by the Greek Regulatory Authority for Energy (RAEYY) on 16 November 2018, as a Nominated Electricity Market Operator (NEMO), for the Day-Ahead and Intraday Electricity Markets. Since 16 March 2020, following the approval of the Hellenic Capital Market Commission (HCMC), HEnEx also operates the Energy Financial Market. EnExClear, established on 2 November 2018 as a subsidiary of HEnEx, is responsible for the clearing and settlement of transactions in the Day-Ahead and Intraday Markets, as well as the Balancing Market.
