Assistant Residential Construction Project Manager

Job Summary

The Assistant Residential Construction Project Manager supports the construction of multiple custom homes at one time in the LaGrange and surrounding areas. This role keeps each job on schedule, coordinates and holds subcontractors accountable, completes walk through checklists at each phase, and maintains accurate job records in the company project management software. The position is field based and requires daily travel between active job sites. A company truck, fuel card, and cell phone are provided.

Key Responsibilities

·      Manage the construction of multiple homes simultaneously

·      Manage subcontractors and material deliveries to keep each job progressing

·      Complete the walk through checklist at each phase and document results

·      Ensure subcontractors complete work properly and in accordance with plans and specifications

·      Maintain an accurate job schedule for every assigned home

·      Utilize project management software for scheduling, accessing plans, customer selections, and job documentation

·      Verify that work in place matches approved plans, customer selections, and approved change orders

·      Coordinate municipal and third party inspections and resolve correction items

·      Communicate job status, delays, and issues promptly to the EVP of Operations

·      Enforce job site safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company policy and applicable codes

Qualifications

·      High school diploma or GED required; construction management or related education preferred

·      Residential construction experience preferred

·      Proficient at reading plans, specifications, and selection sheets

·      Excellent computer skills, including project management software and mobile field applications

·      Valid driver license and an insurable driving record

·      Lift and carry up to 50 pounds

·      Daily driving between job sites in the LaGrange market and surrounding areas

Compensation and Benefits

·      Base salary of $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year, with potential of $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 annually including bonuses
