As a member of the Satellite Connectivity Group, you will work on the satellite networks that enable connectivity to iPhone and Watch Ultra when off the grid without cellular or Wi-Fi coverage. Every day, Apple customers use Emergency SOS, Roadside Assistance, Find My, and Messages via satellite to stay connected when they have no other means to communicate. Description

Embodying Apple’s core DNA, the ideal candidate will own and drive safety features for users who are beyond terrestrial cellular and Wi-Fi coverage. This begins with a deep, empathetic understanding of our users and their unique needs when off-grid, balancing real-world technical constraints while developing a strong, user-centric vision. Working with key stakeholders both inside and outside Apple, you will execute on this vision, soliciting feedback to refine the roadmap and align all teams. Managing schedules, capabilities, and escalations is a key aspect of this role.

This position requires a unique blend of strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration within Apple's culture, alongside rigorous technical and project management capabilities (including proactive communication, robust documentation, and an iterative mindset). Throughout the product lifecycle, you will act as the ultimate advocate for the customer, making swift, informed trade-off decisions to maintain momentum. Your primary focus will be delivering life-saving safety experiences to users without traditional connectivity. Additionally, you will lead these efforts across multiple parallel technology transitions, ensuring we consistently maintain an exceptionally high user-experience bar.

Minimum Qualifications

Exceptional Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional projects involving technical leads, software developers, designers, support engineers, and operations teams. Detail-Oriented & Action-Driven: High attention to detail, with a strong ability to summarize discussions, drive action items, follow up, and facilitate decision-making. Vendor Management: Demonstrated track record of successfully managing and collaborating with external vendors. Project Management: Strong project management skills, including project structuring and managing multiple interdependent workstreams. High Emotional Intelligence: High EQ with a deep capacity for empathy, fostering a collaborative environment where team success is valued. Creative Problem Solver: Self-motivated and proactive, with a demonstrated ability to think creatively and critically in a fast-paced environment. Integrity & Resilience: Deep commitment to doing the right thing, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and constructively resolve both conflict and impediments.

Preferred Qualifications

Emergency Services Background: History working with Emergency Services, First Responders, Dispatch Agencies, and Government Regulators
