Job Description:

Vertiv is seeking a highly motivated Finance Data Analyst to join the Americas Finance team. This role combines financial planning and analysis responsibilities with data analytics, process automation, and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and operating the current forecasting process while leading efforts to automate, streamline, and enhance financial planning workflows.

This position plays a critical role in reducing the time and effort required to build, compile, validate, and load P&L forecasts across numerous entities and business units. The successful candidate will have a strong data analytics and automation background, experience working with large datasets, and a passion for eliminating manual processes through technology and process improvement.

The role is dedicated to the Americas and Latin America region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and execute the Americas forecasting process across multiple business units and legal entities.
  • Build, compile, validate, and load monthly forecasts into enterprise financial systems.
  • Support forecast submissions, consolidations, and reporting activities.

Lead automation initiatives focused on reducing manual effort throughout the forecasting process.

  • Serve as a key point of contact for finance teams during forecast cycles.

Manage financial data movement between source systems, planning tools, and reporting platforms.

  • Ensure forecast data integrity, completeness, and alignment with established timelines.

Develop automated controls and validation routines to identify forecast exceptions and data quality issues.

  • Support forecasting and reporting activities within HFM, EPM, and OneStream systems.
  • Assist with system enhancements, upgrades, testing, and implementation activities.
  • Support integration of newly acquired businesses into the forecasting and reporting process.

Support ad hoc automation, reporting, and analytics projects across the Americas Finance organization.

Document processes, technical requirements, and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, process automation, financial systems, or related disciplines.

Demonstrated experience developing automation solutions using Python and other RPA/automation tools required.

Experience with SQL, Snowflake, and PowerBI, Tableau or similar tools.

Experience supporting FP&A, forecasting, budgeting, or financial reporting processes.

  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management, Oracle EPM, and OneStream preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems preferred.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience managing and transforming large datasets.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
