Role Description:
As a Business Analyst for GFiber, you will be working in the Competitive Intelligence arm of the CSI organization. You will solve a wide range of business problems across multiple functional areas including penetration, competitive tracking, and build optimization. You will deploy a flexible analytical skill set to deliver insightful data and analysis, model business scenarios, define metrics, and address operational challenges with a quantitative approach. Your principal goal will be to use data to drive better business decisions and customer growth. This means translating data into meaningful insights and recommendations and, where relevant, proactively implement improvements. The product of your work will be used by our leaders, peers, and stakeholders to make strategic decisions and serve as a key input in operational decision-making.
You thrive when dealing with complex problems and ambiguity by using a variety of tools to find answers. You can operate with limited guidance and have strong business partnering skills that you use proactively. You are not afraid to approach new, unique problems, and you are capable of working with large amounts of data with high attention to detail. You are curious and have an urge to identify not just “what is going on” but “why” - even if it means going deeper and deeper into the data.
In this role, you’ll:
- Day-to-day primary point of contact between Competitive Intelligence and our metro teams, including the Heads of Sales, Construction Project Managers, and General Managers.
- Communicate findings, recommendations, and metrics updates to your management and other stakeholders via presentations, email communication, write-ups, etc. Visual presentation of findings is as important as finding the data and "crunching" it.
- Identify and recommend creative ways to improve solutions to defined problems via selection of better analytical methods and tools.
- Plan and execute prioritized work including selecting appropriate methods to most effectively achieve analysis objectives.
- Develop roadmap, and track action plans and risk and issue logs to keep the analysis on track.
At a minimum we’d like you to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Marketing or equivalent practical degree.
- 5 years of experience in sales forecasting, business analysis, planning or related experience.
- 5 years of experience performing analytical work and working with data sets.
- Experience analyzing data and creating reports using SQL, Google Sheets or Excel, Tableau/Looker or other dashboarding tools.
It’s preferred if you have:
- Presentation skills, specifically to senior management
- Capable of working on multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously-highly collaborative, able to story tell and build long-term relationships with cross-functional teams
- Exceptional problem solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills - detailed oriented, capable of translating quantitative results into recommendations.
- Experience in the Telecom industry especially in an analytical or technical role
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $180,000 - $198,000 + bonus + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
