Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced QA Manager for a high-volume electronics manufacturing operation in Fort Worth, Texas.

This is a senior quality leadership opportunity for a professional with extensive experience in electronics manufacturing, Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS), contract manufacturing, or a closely related environment. The QA Manager will lead site Quality Assurance functions, maintain the Quality Management System, oversee quality teams, manage customer and supplier quality initiatives, and drive measurable continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The QA Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems that ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and operational objectives. This individual will partner closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Program Management, Supply Chain, suppliers, and customers to improve product quality, reliability, and manufacturing performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and maintain the site's Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, TL9000, customer requirements, and applicable standards
  • Establish and maintain quality policies, procedures, work instructions, and process controls
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with internal, customer, and external certification requirements
  • Oversee Incoming Quality Control (IQC), In-Process Quality Control (IPQC), Outgoing Quality Control (OQC), and Quality Engineering functions
  • Develop, monitor, and improve quality metrics including First Pass Yield (FPY), Defects Per Million (DPPM), customer returns, Cost of Quality (COQ), and corrective-action closure rates
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for customer quality concerns
  • Manage customer audits, assessments, quality reviews, complaints, and corrective actions
  • Lead structured root-cause analysis using 8D, Fishbone Analysis, 5 Why, PFMEA, DFMEA, and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Drive CAPA programs and Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma quality initiatives
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Supplier Quality teams to improve supplier performance
  • Participate in supplier audits, qualification activities, corrective actions, and performance reviews
  • Manage and develop Quality Engineers, Quality Supervisors, Technicians, and Inspectors
  • Establish performance goals and provide coaching, mentorship, technical guidance, and performance evaluations
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) from design transfer through mass production
  • Participate in process validation, qualification, and manufacturing-readiness reviews
  • Ensure appropriate quality controls are established during product launches
  • Partner cross-functionally to identify manufacturing risks, reduce defects, and improve operational efficiency

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a fully onsite position in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment. The QA Manager will interact regularly with production personnel, engineers, managers, customers, and suppliers. Flexibility may occasionally be required to support production schedules, audits, customer visits, and critical business needs. Occasional domestic and international travel may also be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or Related Field REQUIRED
  • Minimum 7 Years of Progressive Quality Experience in Electronics Manufacturing, EMS, Contract Manufacturing, or Related Industry REQUIRED
  • Minimum 3 Years of Management or Supervisory Experience REQUIRED
  • Quality Management System (QMS) Leadership Experience REQUIRED
  • Strong Knowledge of Quality Methodologies, Statistical Analysis, and Process Improvement Tools REQUIRED
  • Experience with 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, PFMEA/DFMEA, SPC, and CAPA REQUIRED
  • Experience Managing Customer Audits and Quality Performance Metrics REQUIRED
  • Experience Leading Cross-Functional Quality Initiatives REQUIRED
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Minitab, ERP Systems, and Quality Reporting Tools REQUIRED
  • Ability to Work Fully Onsite in Fort Worth, TX 76177 REQUIRED
  • Strong Leadership and Employee Development Capabilities REQUIRED
  • Strong Analytical, Root-Cause Analysis, and Problem-Solving Skills REQUIRED
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Quality Systems and Process Controls REQUIRED
  • Ability to Interpret Technical Drawings, Specifications, and Manufacturing Documentation REQUIRED
  • Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills REQUIRED
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) Preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Preferred
  • Experience Supporting Fortune 500 Technology Customers Preferred
  • Telecommunications, Networking, AI Server, Data Center, Cloud Computing, or Electronics Manufacturing Experience Preferred
  • Familiarity with IPC Standards, ESD Controls, and Electronics Assembly Quality Requirements Preferred
