Company Description
Trusscore is a material science company focused on developing sustainable building materials.
We're starting a journey to change the way people build buildings and the environmental footprint left behind when they do. Already an established innovative building materials manufacturing company, Trusscore is now preparing to take things to the next level by focusing on R&D and bringing innovative material science to our formulations—making our products functional and beautiful.
As one of the leading polymer panel manufacturers in North America, we are dedicated to environmental sustainability and make it a focus of our manufacturing process. We succeed by manufacturing and delivering the best in high-value, zero-waste, quality products in an ever-evolving marketplace. By integrating innovative material science into products to meet new demands we will leave traditional alternatives behind.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Systems Enablement Analyst to help us improve how technology is used across the business.
Location: Hybrid: Trusscore Calgary site minimum 3 days/week; work from home 2 days/week.
This role sits at the intersection of business processes, enterprise systems, data, automation and AI. It is not a traditional system administrator or software developer role.
You will work directly with teams across the organization to understand how they work, facilitate process discovery, identify opportunities for improvement, and help turn those opportunities into practical solutions.
Increasingly, those solutions will be created using AI-assisted development. You don't need to be a software developer, but you should be excited about using AI to build software, automate processes, analyze problems and rapidly prototype new ideas.
You'll also play an important role in making sure those solutions actually work — identifying risks and edge cases, testing them, documenting them, supporting releases and helping people adopt new ways of working.
What You'll Do
Discover and Improve Business Processes
- Facilitate process discovery sessions with teams across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Customer Service and other areas of the business.
- Map and document current-state processes and design practical future-state workflows.
- Identify process improvement, automation and AI opportunities.
- Gather business requirements and translate business problems into clear system requirements and practical solutions.
- Identify process gaps, dependencies and risks that need to be addressed.
- Help evaluate whether a problem should be solved through configuration, automation, reporting, AI, a lightweight application or a process change.
Build and Configure Solutions
- Use AI tools to help prototype and build internal applications, automations, integrations and utilities.
- Configure and support business applications, including ERP and other enterprise platforms.
- Work with APIs, integrations and data to connect systems and automate workflows.
- Create reports, dashboards and other tools that help users make better decisions.
- Work with internal and external technical resources when a solution requires deeper development expertise.
- Continuously explore new technologies and identify practical opportunities to apply them to the business.
Test, Validate and Release Changes
- Develop test plans, test cases and acceptance criteria for new functionality.
- Perform functional testing and coordinate user acceptance testing.
- Identify risks, gaps, unexpected behaviours and edge cases before deployment.
- Validate AI-generated and AI-assisted solutions before they reach production.
- Support release planning and change implementation activities.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders to ensure changes are ready for deployment and users are prepared.
- Investigate issues and work with users and technical resources to determine root causes and appropriate solutions.
Document and Share Knowledge
- Create clear system documentation, process maps, SOPs and training materials.
- Maintain documentation as systems and processes evolve.
- Document new applications, automations, integrations and system changes.
- Create release notes and communicate changes to affected users.
- Build reusable knowledge that reduces dependency on individual employees or external resources.
Enable Our Teams
- Help users understand and adopt new technology.
- Provide training and hands-on support for new systems and processes.
- Work alongside employees to understand how technology is actually being used.
- Identify recurring pain points and proactively recommend improvements.
- Gather feedback following implementations and use it to continuously improve solutions.
- Help build a culture where employees are comfortable experimenting with new technology and AI.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who combines strong business thinking with technical curiosity.
You don't need to know every technology we use today. You do need to be someone who enjoys learning new systems, understanding how things work and figuring out better ways to solve problems.
Ideally, you have:
- 3+ years of experience in business systems, business analysis, application support, systems implementation, operations technology or a related role.
- Experience facilitating requirements gathering or process discovery sessions with business stakeholders.
- Experience documenting current-state processes and designing improved future-state workflows.
- Experience translating business problems into system or process solutions.
- Experience configuring or supporting ERP, CRM or other enterprise applications.
- Strong testing, analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- The ability to think through risks, dependencies and edge cases rather than simply testing the expected path.
- Experience working with business data, reporting or analytics.
- Excellent written documentation and communication skills.
- The ability to work directly with both business users and technical teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A willingness to work primarily from our Calgary location and engage directly with the people and processes you're supporting.
AI and Technical Curiosity
We're particularly interested in candidates who are actively exploring how AI is changing the way technology solutions are built.
You may already be using tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or other AI platforms to:
- Analyze business problems.
- Write or understand SQL.
- Build scripts or lightweight applications.
- Work with APIs.
- Create automations.
- Troubleshoot technical issues.
- Generate test cases and documentation.
- Prototype ideas that previously would have required a developer.
You do not need to be a professional programmer. What matters is that you're comfortable learning, experimenting and using modern tools to solve real business problems.
Technology Environment
Our business systems environment includes platforms such as:
- NetSuite
- Salesforce
- Oracle Analytics and data platforms
- Microsoft 365
- Integration and automation platforms
- Manufacturing and operational systems
- AI tools including ChatGPT and Claude
- APIs, SQL and modern application development technologies
Experience with these specific technologies is helpful but isn't required. We're more interested in your ability to learn and solve problems than in checking every technology box.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first year, you will have:
- Developed strong relationships with the teams you support.
- Learned how our major business processes and systems work.
- Facilitated process discovery and helped teams move from current-state problems to better future-state processes.
- Delivered measurable improvements to existing processes.
- Helped introduce new automations, applications and AI-enabled solutions.
- Improved the quality of testing, release readiness and documentation around system changes.
- Identified potential problems and edge cases before they affected users.
- Reduced manual work and recurring system issues.
- Helped employees become more effective and confident users of technology.
Most importantly, you'll help us find better ways to use technology to make the business simpler, faster and more effective.
