Acentra Health is looking for a AI Business Partner, Senior to join our growing team.
Job Summary:
The AI Business Partner serves as a strategic liaison between the AI & Automation Center of Excellence and assigned business units, helping leaders identify, evaluate, and advance practical AI opportunities that improve operational performance, product capability, service quality, and user experience. This role is responsible for bringing a strong foundational understanding of AI, generative AI, automation, and data-driven innovation into business discussions to help teams understand the “art of the possible” while translating ideas into actionable opportunities.
Deployed within the HealthTech Systems organization, this role will work closely with leaders and teams supporting provider and claims software platforms, services, and operations. The AI Business Partner will combine domain knowledge of healthcare administration workflows with AI fluency to uncover high-value use cases, shape business cases, support prioritization, and coordinate with product, technology, operations, transformation, and AI engineering teams to move AI concepts from discovery into execution.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with IHS leaders to identify, assess, and prioritize AI opportunities across utilization management, case management, assessments, appeals, independent review, and related clinical service workflows.
- Facilitate discovery conversations and working sessions that help clinical and operational teams explore AI-enabled improvements, including workflow automation, clinical and document summarization, decision support, knowledge retrieval, correspondence support, and user assistance.
- Translate clinical business needs, pain points, quality goals, service-level expectations, and operational priorities into well-defined AI opportunity statements, use case summaries, business value hypotheses, and initial solution concepts.
- Serve as a bridge between IHS business stakeholders, clinical operations teams, medical directors, nurse reviewers, case managers, quality and compliance partners, product teams, transformation partners, change management, data teams, and AI engineering resources to support alignment from ideation through delivery planning.
- Help evaluate feasibility, value, risk, data readiness, workflow impact, clinical policy alignment, regulatory and compliance considerations, human oversight needs, and stakeholder adoption factors for proposed AI initiatives.
- Support development of business cases, intake materials, prioritization recommendations, and executive-level summaries for AI opportunities within IHS.
- Promote responsible AI practices in clinical operations by helping business teams understand appropriate AI use, decision-support boundaries, required human review, auditability, PHI and data sensitivity, privacy considerations, and operational risk factors..
- Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Clinical Services, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- 5+ years of experience working in healthcare operations, clinical services, managed care, healthcare technology, product management, business analysis, consulting, transformation, or a related business-facing role.
- Working knowledge of clinical and healthcare administration workflows, preferably including utilization management, case management, assessments, appeals, independent review, prior authorization, concurrent review, or payer/provider service operations.
- Working knowledge of AI, generative AI, automation, data analytics, and emerging technologies, with the ability to identify relevant business applications, assess potential value and feasibility, and communicate complex concepts clearly to business audience(s).
- Demonstrated ability to partner with business and clinical leaders to identify operational challenges, frame opportunities, and translate needs into structured requirements or solution concepts.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to lead discovery sessions and synthesize input across diverse clinical, operational, technical, and compliance teams.
- Experience supporting business case development, initiative prioritization, process improvement, quality improvement, or technology-enabled transformation efforts.
- Ability to balance innovation with practical considerations such as feasibility, adoption, change impact, clinical quality, compliance, data sensitivity, privacy, and responsible AI use.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with AI, automation, analytics, digital transformation, or product innovation initiatives in a healthcare, managed care, clinical operations, or software environment.
- Familiarity with utilization management, prior authorization, concurrent review, discharge planning, care coordination, assessments, medical necessity review, appeals and grievances, independent review organization processes, or related clinical programs.
- Experience collaborating with clinical subject matter experts, medical directors, nurses, case managers, reviewers, AI engineers, data scientists, product owners, business analysts, scrum masters, or technical delivery teams.
- Comfort using generative AI tools to support research, documentation, workflow analysis, solution framing, process mapping, or productivity improvements.
Understanding of HIPAA, PHI handling, contractual requirements, state or federal program requirements, accreditation or quality standards, and audit/compliance considerations relevant to clinical service delivery.

Experience in Lieu of Degree
For non-clinical roles, or when not required by the contract specifically, the Company acknowledges that practical, hands-on experience can provide skills and competencies equivalent to formal education. As such, in cases where a Bachelor's degree may be required, the Company will accept a minimum of six (6) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree. In instances where the candidate has an Associate's degree, the Company will accept a minimum of three (3) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree.
