Job Summary
This internship is based in the Electric Transmission Operations Engineering Support Team, within the Electric Transmission organization. Working with a mentor, the intern will learn the basic concepts of large electrical equipment (transformers, breakers, switches, instrument transformers). Through the use of tools such as technical resources (e.g. IEEE Standards), Excel and other Microsoft Applications.
The intern will work to:
- Produce a proposal for a condition-based asset maintenance program.
- Produce proposals and recommendations for internal stakeholder collaboration and data exchange to enhance the excellence of asset management
- Learn and embrace Dominion’s corporate culture of safety, ethics, and inclusion.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience that are required for entry into this job include the following:
Graduate engineering student.
Knowledge of engineering theories, principles, and practices to a broad variety of assignments and related field. - Strong planning and project management skills. - Strong oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing). - Demonstrated ability to think analytically and solve complex problems. - Proven time management, work planning and organizational skills. - Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and other Office 365 applications. - Effective in both independent and team work environments.

Level of study: Graduate (Masters or PhD)
Field of study: Engineering
Preferred Discipline(s): Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering
Must have a graduation date of Fall 2027 or later.
Must have a 3.0 GPA or above.

Hourly Rate:
$37.00 - $42.00
The hourly rate listed is the rate we anticipate paying for this position. If a range is listed, the actual hourly rate offered may vary based on factors such as the selected candidate's degree type, academic major, and/or school classification (e.g., sophomore, junior, senior).
