Description

Position Overview: Responsible for ensuring that product quality meets customer specifications through quality testing and safety. Upholding state, federal and local regulations. Works closely with managers and supervisors to ensure quality specifications of product are being followed.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Monitor cookie dimensions, moisture, color etc.
  • Monitor metal detector and check weights.
  • Inspect package codes.
  • Inspect package integrity.
  • Take samples of products for retention and further testing.
  • Report quality issues to manager and/or supervisor.
  • All other reasonable work request from supervisor / group leader.
  • Prepares Micro sampling on all finished goods.
  • Ability to use measuring tools and basic math.

Non Essential Job Functions:

  • Participates on committees and engaging in special projects.
  • Daily interaction with Production Supervisors, Leads, QA Manager, Ex. Director of QA & Technical Research, EX. Director of Operations, Production Manager.
  • Daily interaction with Production Operators, Quality Technicians and Mechanical Technicians.
  • Frequent interaction with vendors and contractors.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience working in a food manufacturing facility, preferred.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and adheres to all company safety policies.
  • Moderate troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills-Microsoft Word, Excel, Nav.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast passed environment.
  • Ethical conduct.
  • Strong time management skills.

Other Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to work individually and in a team setting.
