Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 1 year with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
- Experience in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), with a focus on Revenue (ASC 606) Accounting in a public accounting or multinational company setting.
Preferred qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Experience with SQL and growing business decisions by analyzing data sets.
- Experience in managing process improvement.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work with minimal guidance and in a team environment.
- Excellent business acumen, with the ability to recognize and present data.

The Platforms and Ecosystems (P&E) Controllership team partners with FP&A, product, engineering, and business development teams through design and implementation of products across Platforms and Ecosystems businesses. In this role, you will build accounting processes to support the cultivation of our core business growth-generating areas.

US: $105000 - $152000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

- Design, implement, and manage global processes for the accounting of P&E products (Android), including revenue monetization and incentives, cost of sales, operational expenses, and the related balance sheet reconciliations.
- Partner with FP&A, product, engineering, and other cross-functional business partners to define, establish, and implement accounting systems, processes, and procedures. Review processes and implement controls to ensure mitigated risk for Google.
- Perform month-end close processes, including agreement review and preparing/posting journal entries. Prepare and present financials to management and support with any ad-hoc requests from cross-functional teams.
- Identify opportunities and implement programs to centralize, eliminate, automate or send out activities. Work with providers to send out established or mature processes and manage ongoing activities.
- Work through accounting implications and confirm we can operationally support business agreements. Provide accounting guidance to sales, product, and cross-functional teams.
