RSi is looking to fill a Data Analyst position to support our NASA customer on the Marshall Engineering Technicians and Trades Support contract (METTS). This position provides expertise to acquire, manage, manipulate, and analyze data and report results in support of all efforts across the contract.
Summary of duties includes but is not limited to:
- Reviews test data for reasonableness of data provided for database entry
- Reviews input data for accuracy and consistency with historical data
- Reviews computer input and output documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to establishment standards
- Reviews documents to ensure completeness and appropriateness prior to data entry
- Reviews specialized MSFC Metrology and Calibration Management System input and output calibration/test data, reports, and records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to NPD 8730.1 for all metrology and calibration functions
- Reads notes and instructions written on source documents and compares information with printouts to detect errors and ensure completeness and conformity with establishment policies and procedures
- Notifies supervisor when errors and shortage of output are detected, and corrects errors or refers work to other workers for correction
- Compares corrected input and output data with source documents, worksheets, and data displayed on screen of computer terminal to verify corrections
Required Minimum Education/Experience/Certifications:
- One year of experience in a related field
- Proficiency in MS Office suite of products, software applications, internet research, and database systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively collaborate across a diverse team
Preferred Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/IT Skills/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution
- Working knowledge of NASA and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple actions and priorities
Work Environment:
- Primarily office-based, with periodic exposure to industrial and field environments
Physical Environment/Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):
- Ability to lift up to forty (40) pounds on an occasional basis
- Sit or stand for extended periods of time
- May require walking, bending, climbing stairs, and navigating industrial work areas
Other:
- This position may require occasional overtime and may include second or third shift support for 24/7 onsite or on-call support based on customer needs and contract requirements.
- All positions supporting the METTS III contract are contingent upon successful completion of NASA medical screenings at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter. The need for these screenings is determined based on the outcomes of the Safety, Health, and Environmental Job Assessment Questionnaire.
- Must meet eligibility for a Public Trust background investigation for government issues credentials and IT access/applicants must be able to pass a security background check per Redstone Arsenal/MSFC requirements. You will be required to provide two (2) forms of Federal I9 documents. You will be required to provide a REAL ID compliant identification to gain access to RSA and MSFC. Your name must match on both forms of ID, be original (no copies/digital), and be unexpired.
