What you’ll own
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust infrastructure and deployment pipelines across cloud and containerized environments. You will work closely with development, security, and operations teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Infrastructure (AWS):
- Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure using best practices.
- Extensive experience with AWS managed services, such as:
- RDS/Aurora (provisioning, backups, scaling, monitoring)
- S3 Buckets (data lifecycle management, permissions, encryption)
- IAM (user/role/policy management, least privilege principles)
- Lambda Functions (serverless architecture, event-driven design, monitoring)
- AWS Secrets Manager/Parameter Store (secure storage and management of secrets)
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
- Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform (modules, state management, automation).
- Ensure infrastructure is reproducible, version-controlled, and compliant with security standards.
- Containerization & Orchestration:
- Deploy and manage applications using OpenShift and/or Kubernetes.
- Implement best practices for container security, scaling, and monitoring.
- Automate deployments and manage cluster resources efficiently.
- CI/CD & Automation:
- Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub.
- Automate testing, integration, and deployment workflows.
- Troubleshoot and optimize build and deployment processes.
- Collaboration & Support:
- Work closely with development and QA teams to streamline release cycles.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps best practices.
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response as needed.
- Security & Compliance:
- Implement and monitor security controls across cloud and containerized environments.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering role
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS and AWS managed services (RDS/Aurora, S3, IAM, Lambda, Secrets Manager, etc…)
- Deep understanding of Terraform for infrastructure automation
- Experience deploying and managing workloads on OpenShift and/or Kubernetes
- Proficient with Jenkins and GitHub for CI/CD pipeline development and automation
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, or similar)
- Solid understanding of networking, security best practices, and monitoring in cloud environments
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
It’s a bonus if you have
- AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Experience in highly regulated environments or with PCI/DSS compliance
