Job Description

POSITION TITLE: Technology Specialist: Power BI Developer

JOB REPORTING TO:  India Associate Director

LOCAL REPORTING TO:  Office Manager

OBJECTIVE: Eurofins IT Solutions is responsible for delivering analytics, reporting, and business intelligence solutions that support operational excellence, technology platform management, and business decision-making across the organization.

The main objective of this position, based in Bangalore, is to design, develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI reporting solutions and related data integration services. The role will support reporting initiatives such as DORA metrics, platform utilization dashboards, operational reporting, executive scorecards, and analytical workstreams requested by business and IT stakeholders.

The position will ensure that reporting deliverables are implemented using industry best practices, appropriate data modelling techniques, and automation capabilities to provide high-quality and timely business insights. Based on the recruitment request, the role is intended to provide dedicated expertise in Power BI development, supplemented by Python and .NET capabilities for automation and integrations.

SPECIFIC ASSIGNMENTS

• Contribute to the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Design and implement scalable Power BI semantic models and datasets.
• Develop advanced DAX calculations, KPIs, scorecards, and analytical measures.
• Create and maintain Power Query transformations and data preparation processes.
• Develop Python-based automation scripts for data processing, reporting automation, and API integrations.
• Develop and maintain .NET-based services supporting reporting and analytics platforms.
• Integrate Power BI solutions with enterprise applications, databases, APIs, and cloud services.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Perform troubleshooting, performance tuning, and optimization of reports and datasets.
• Follow and promote Eurofins development standards, governance processes, and security requirements.
• Support deployment activities and provide Level 3 technical support for developed reporting solutions.
• Use sound software engineering practices and Agile/Scrum methodologies to ensure superior quality and maintainability.

OTHER ASSIGNMENTS

• Ensure regular follow-up with the Manager and provide status updates as requested.
• Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of Eurofins business processes, platforms, and reporting requirements.
• Develop effective working relationships with both IT and non-IT stakeholders across Eurofins.
• Create and maintain technical, operational, and user documentation.
• Write and maintain test cases and validation procedures for reporting solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within reporting and analytics domains.
• Participate in knowledge sharing and mentoring activities within the team.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Experience:

Minimum 4 years of IT industry experience, including 3 years or more of hands-on Power BI development, with experience in enterprise reporting/analytics solutions and Agile/Scrum environments.

PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL CRITERIA: Eurofins has a strong focus on Performance Management system. This includes quarterly calibrations, half-yearly reviews and annual reviews. The KPIs shall be set and may vary slightly between projects. These will be clearly communicated, documented during the first 30 days of your joining.
