The Position

Vulnerability and Exposure Management Cybersecurity Internship  - RDT Security Monitoring & Incident Response

The Vulnerability and Exposure Management (VEM) team at Roche strives to keep our networks and users safe from constantly evolving threats. We strive to protect sensitive data and defend computer systems and web applications from existing and emerging threats.  We are a global and dynamic team committed to this mission so that Roche can do now what patients need next.  To ensure that we manage existing and emerging threats to Roche, this position places you in the heart of our daily operations.

We are seeking a highly motivated intern to join our team in Kaiseraugst, Switzerland. 

The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic intern to join our Vulnerability and Exposure Management team. This is a unique opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills in Vulnerability Management, Attack Surface Exposure Management, and Vulnerability Research. You will have the chance to contribute to meaningful projects, provide valuable input, and learn about cutting-edge cyber security concepts.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in responding to critical vulnerabilities affecting Roche
  • Participate in the evaluation and prioritization of vulnerabilities found through our tools
  • Research emerging vulnerabilities and develop methods to confirm exploitability against our attack surface
  • Collaborate with team members on various projects and tasks
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of security processes

Who You Are

You are a current Bachelor or Master student (or graduated within the last 12 months)  in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field  You have a basic understanding of cyber security concepts, have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, thrive in dynamic environments, and have an eagerness to learn and grow in the cyber security domain while solving real-world problems.

Additionally, you bring:

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Excellent collaboration skills to coordinate tasks with internal and external partners
  • A strategic mindset, a strong sense of timeline ownership, and a proactive, troubleshooting attitude
  • Proficiency in both English and German
