Meet The Team 👥
Hi I'm Chris 👋 the Chief Unit Economics Office at Cleo. I care about revenue growth and, importantly, the economics behind it - which means I focus on everything from how people find us through to making the unit economics actually work.
We cover parts of marketing, product and commercial - a team of ~40 people across Growth and Performance Marketing. It's a broad org, but it centres on one clear goal: grow the company efficiently.
You'll thrive here if you structure your thoughts and plans, base your ideas on facts more than opinion, would rather own a number end to end than sit neatly inside a process, and can always see the next opportunity.
About the role ✍️
We're looking for a highly creative, technically fluent Senior Product Marketing Manager to own our weekly Product & Tech announcements - sitting between Product, Engineering, and Creative, turning complex technology into simple, sharp storytelling that shows the pace and ambition of what we're building. You'll need strong product marketing fundamentals, sharp creative judgment, and enough technical depth to earn engineers' trust.
- Sit at the intersection of Product, Engineering, and Creative - understanding how complex technology actually works and translating it into simple, sharp, high-quality storytelling
- Make Cleo's product momentum visible every week, turning new features, AI capabilities, technical improvements, experiments, and launches into compelling announcements that show the pace, quality, and ambition of what we're building
- Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of our always-on weekly product announcement cadence, ensuring every update is clear, compelling, and aligned to the broader company, product, and brand narrative
- Partner closely with Product and Engineering to understand what's shipping, why it matters, how it works, and how it strengthens our market position - using technical depth to earn engineers' trust while pushing the work to be clearer, bolder, and more commercially valuable
- Build repeatable systems for identifying, prioritizing, packaging, and launching weekly announcements across the right external and internal channels
- Turn raw product and technical inputs into polished launch narratives, creative briefs, messaging, FAQs, and channel-ready assets
- Balance speed and quality - move quickly without letting the work become generic, sloppy, or overly technical
- Anticipate blockers before they become problems, escalating when needed and making pragmatic tradeoffs to protect quality and momentum
- Lead creative development for weekly announcements from idea to execution, in partnership with Brand, Design, Content, and Social, applying strong product/integrated marketing fundamentals and creative judgment
- Bring strong instincts for what makes an announcement feel fresh, ownable, and worth paying attention to - knowing when an update needs a simple, elegant explanation versus a bigger creative swing
- Shape briefs that give creative teams the strategy, insight, tension, and clarity they need to do their best work
- Stay hands-on with the creative team - whether writing the first draft, building the storyboard, reframing the angle, or helping land the final execution
What we're looking for 🕵️
- 4+ years of product marketing, integrated marketing, or launch marketing experience in fast-paced, high-growth tech environments.
- AI or deep-tech fluency. You can understand complex systems, ask smart questions, and translate technical concepts into simple, compelling value without losing accuracy. You’re comfortable working closely with Product and Engineering.
- Creative excellence. You have strong creative judgment, a sharp aesthetic eye, and a high bar for craft across copy, design, motion, social, and content. You know how to turn a product update into work that feels clear, distinctive, and worth paying attention to.
- Strong execution and ownership. You’re highly organized, proactive, and reliable. You can manage multiple moving pieces, keep track of the details, chase inputs, spot risks early, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
- Comfort with ambiguity. You can create clarity in fast-moving environments, make smart tradeoffs, and keep momentum high without waiting for perfect information.
- Bias toward action and impact. You move quickly, care about outcomes, and know how to balance speed, quality, and commercial value.
- US or UK market experience is required.
