This role contributes to the design, implementation, and support of cloud-native platform capabilities that enable engineering teams to build, deploy, and operate scalable, secure applications. The Platform Engineer partners with cross-functional teams to improve infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and observability practices while supporting the organization’s transition toward SRE principles.

Essential Functions

  • Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Terraform and GitLab CI/CD
  • Support containerized platforms (e.g., Kubernetes/EKS) and microservices-based architectures
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system reliability, scalability, and deployment processes
  • Contribute to observability practices including monitoring, logging, and alerting
  • Assist in modernizing legacy systems toward cloud-native architectures
  • Troubleshoot platform and deployment issues and support incident resolution
  • Document platform standards, processes, and best practices

Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS or comparable cloud platforms
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes (EKS preferred) and container orchestration
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code practices
  • Basic understanding of SRE principles and observability tooling
  • Software engineering or scripting experience (e.g., Python, Go, Bash)
  • 2-4 years of experience
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
