Job Description

We are seeking a Certified Cloud Engineer to support the development, implementation, configuration, maintenance, and operational support of an enterprise hybrid cloud environment across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or similar platforms.

The Cloud Engineer will work closely with vendors, architects, developers, security teams, and internal IT staff throughout architecture, development, integration, testing, deployment, production implementation, and transition to long-term operational support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, support, and maintain hybrid cloud platforms.

• Provide technical oversight of cloud infrastructure, networking, compute, storage, databases, security, monitoring, logging, and automation.

• Review and validate cloud architecture, configurations, and infrastructure designs.

• Support .NET application teams with application deployment, integration, configuration, CI/CD, and environment management.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and repeatable automation/deployment practices.

• Support containerized applications and cloud-native workloads.

• Implement IAM, least privilege, encryption, network security, vulnerability management, logging, monitoring, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery.

• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues and perform scripting and automation.

• Support compliance with applicable security and regulatory requirements, including NIST and IRS Publication 1075.

• Establish operational procedures, monitoring standards, incident response processes, and maintenance practices.

• Optimize cloud environments for security, performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.

• Develop technical documentation covering architecture, configurations, dependencies, operational procedures, and support requirements.

• Provide knowledge transfer, mentoring, and hands-on collaboration with internal IT staff.

Qualifications

• 3+ years designing, developing, modifying, supporting, and maintaining cloud platforms.

• 3+ years of cloud experience in regulated organizations.

• 5+ years of Infrastructure as Code experience.

• 5+ years of application containerization experience.

• 5+ years of CI/CD experience with GitHub.

• 5+ years working with enterprise networking, observability, and cloud cost management.

• 5+ years of Windows and .NET experience.

• Strong experience with hybrid private/public cloud environments.

• Strong knowledge of cloud networking, compute, storage, security, scalability, and high availability.

• Experience working with DevOps/DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, containers, configuration management, and application deployment.

• Strong programming, scripting, automation, troubleshooting, and infrastructure configuration skills.

Additional Information

• Cloud platform certification.

• AWS experience preferred, but AWS, Azure, GCP, or another major cloud certification/platform is acceptable.

• Experience supporting enterprise environments with security and regulatory requirements.
