Job Description

We're currently looking for a Associate Machine Learning Consultant to join our EMEA Open Banking Team and support the rollout of Trusso, our cutting-edge machine learning-based transaction categorization engine, across the EMEA region.

You will combine analytics consulting, machine learning support, and hands-on data analysis. You will contribute to client projects, support the continuous improvement of our machine learning solutions, and perform analytical investigations to help optimize product performance and deliver value to our clients. You will report to the Trusso Product Lead.

What you'll do:

  • Support the continuous development and optimization of Trusso and related products through analytical investigations, model performance analysis, and delivery of high-quality outcomes
  • Apply analytical techniques to investigate data, identify trends, and create insights to support product development and client engagements.
  • Support the monitoring, validation, and continuous improvement of machine learning models and analytics solutions through performance analysis, testing, and investigation of model outputs.
  • Develop analytical scripts, tools, and investigations using Python and related analytical libraries to support data-driven decision-making and help resolve challenges.
  • Analyse transactional datasets to identify categorisation opportunities, data quality issues, and recommendations for model improvement.
  • Support stakeholders and clients by providing product and analytical insights and recommending potential solutions and strategies.
  • Promote new ideas which satisfy clients' requirements and resolve their business problems.
  • Design and execute analytical solutions using appropriate statistical and machine learning techniques.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, analytical engineers, and product teams to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Present analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Contribute to product development projects and support business cases for new product enhancements.
  • Co-ordinate with Experian's Analytics Pre-Sales team to contribute to sales opportunities and support the conversion of sales prospects.
  • Support business development opportunities through analytical expertise and product knowledge and contribution to client discussions where required.
  • Support ad-hoc analytical investigations and client enquiries related to machine learning and transactional data analytics.

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

  • 3–5 years of experience in analytics, data science, risk analytics, or a related field, including 1–3 years of consulting or client-facing experience.
  • Experience using Python for data analysis, including Pandas and related analytical libraries.
  • Understanding of machine learning concepts and practical experience applying analytical techniques to solve business problems.
  • Knowledge or experience of credit risk analytics, financial services, banking, or transactional data analytics would be advantageous.
