The Opportunity
We are seeking a Data and Integration Analyst to join our Information Services team. Reporting to the Projects and Business Systems Manager, this role is responsible for improving data quality, integration reliability, information governance and reporting capability across Fremantle Ports' core business systems.
Working closely with business stakeholders, system owners, technical specialists and vendors, you will help ensure trusted, accurate and accessible data is available to support operational performance, compliance requirements and informed decision-making. This is an exciting opportunity to influence enterprise-wide data outcomes while contributing to the continuous improvement of critical business systems.
Your Day-to-Day Impact
- Analyse business requirements and data flows across operational, commercial and corporate systems.
- Support data quality initiatives through validation, reconciliation and exception reporting processes.
- Contribute to data governance practices, including metadata, data lineage, privacy and information management.
- Support reporting, analytics and dashboard solutions by ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Assist with documenting data definitions, mapping rules, integration specifications and support procedures.
- Support system integration activities including APIs, EDI, file transfers and middleware-enabled solutions.
- Participate in testing, defect investigation and validation of end-to-end data outcomes.
- Investigate data and integration issues and recommend practical improvements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve business processes, reporting and system performance.
- Contribute to data, analytics and digital transformation initiatives across the organisation.
The Expertise You Bring
- Qualification in Information Technology, Business Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in data analysis, systems integration, business systems support or business analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues and identify practical solutions.
- Experience working with operational, corporate or master data across multiple systems.
- Knowledge of SQL, Excel, Power BI or similar reporting and analytics tools.
- Understanding of integration concepts including APIs, web services, EDI and file-based interfaces.
- Well-developed stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality documentation.
Nice to have
- Experience in transport, logistics, government, infrastructure or asset-intensive environments will be highly regarded.
- Exposure to Jira or similar service management and project delivery platforms is desirable.
