This is a senior technical leadership role focused on designing and evolving highly scalable backend ecosystems for international digital products.You will help shape distributed architectures that support web and mobile experiences across multiple markets.The role combines hands-on backend expertise with technical direction, architectural decision-making, and engineering mentorship.You will work closely with product, backend, web, and mobile teams to solve complex technical challenges and define long-term solutions.A strong focus on resilience, performance, observability, security, and continuous software quality will be central to your work.You will also contribute to sophisticated release strategies and internationalization across platforms, currencies, and time zones.This is an opportunity to influence engineering standards and enable reliable digital experiences at significant scale.

Accountabilities

• Lead the technical conception, architecture, and evolution of distributed backend ecosystems using Node.js, ensuring seamless integration with web and mobile applications.

• Define and guide architectural standards that promote resilience, high availability, scalability, low latency, security, and maintainability under high request volumes.

• Drive the continuous improvement of software quality, engineering processes, system performance, and product capabilities.

• Conduct technical refinement of complex initiatives, assess technical feasibility, and contribute to long-term solution and product strategy.

• Guide engineering teams in applying Clean Code, Clean Architecture, SOLID, Design Patterns, and other software engineering best practices across backend, web, and mobile ecosystems.

• Provide technical mentorship to developers, supporting solution design and helping resolve complex architectural and operational challenges.

• Establish and promote rigorous code review practices to maintain high standards of software quality and maintainability.

• Act as a technical bridge between backend and client-side engineers, helping coordinate solutions across web and mobile platforms.

• Document system architecture, technical decisions, and relevant engineering standards to support knowledge sharing and long-term maintainability.

• Ensure alignment with software architecture and information security guidelines.

• Monitor application health through APM, API error rates, latency metrics, logs, tracing, and database health indicators, identifying and addressing technical risks.

• Design and evolve complex distributed systems while maintaining reliability and performance at scale.

• Coordinate sophisticated release strategies, including Canary releases, Feature Flags, and Remote Config, connecting backend deployments with web and mobile launches.

Requirements

• Solid professional experience with Node.js and modern server-side backend development.

• Previous experience as a Tech Lead, Software Architect, or senior technical leader within high-performing, cross-functional engineering teams.

• Deep architectural understanding of web and mobile client applications, particularly React and Flutter, and their integration with backend ecosystems.

• Advanced knowledge of microservices, RESTful APIs, event-driven architecture, design patterns, and resilience patterns.

• Strong experience with distributed systems, messaging and queueing technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS, and caching solutions such as Redis.

• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL and MongoDB.

• Hands-on experience with cloud architectures and serverless technologies, including services such as AWS Lambda and API Gateway.

• Practical knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps workflows, including tools such as GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and Bitrise, as well as backend deployment and mobile application distribution processes.

• Strong understanding of automated testing strategies, including unit, integration, end-to-end, load, and stress testing.

• Experience with application observability, including logs, tracing, metrics, and APM platforms.

• Knowledge of software internationalization strategies involving i18n, multiple time zones, and currencies.

• Strong command of Git workflows such as Gitflow, GitHub Flow, or GitLab Flow, along with Feature Flag and remote configuration tools such as ConfigCat or Firebase Remote Config.

• Critical and analytical mindset with a strong focus on performance, scalability, resilience, and information security.

• Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary, collaborative environments with a high degree of autonomy.

• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly, influence engineering decisions, and collaborate effectively with product and technology stakeholders.
