Responsibilities

Raw Material & Spare Parts Planning (Primary Focus)

  • Define, build, and document the scope, workflows, and SOPs for a new North America raw material and spare parts planning function
  • Own North America spare parts inventory planning — safety stock, reorder points, and replenishment cadence for service and field support
  • Build tracking tools/dashboards for spare parts availability, aging/obsolete inventory, and stockout risk (Excel/SAP)
  • Partner with Master Scheduling, Procurement, and Field Service to align parts supply with service and warranty demand
  • Identify and resolve gaps between SAP data and physical raw material/spare parts inventory
  • Set target inventory and reorder policies for critical and long-lead parts with Purchasing and Manufacturing
  • Coordinate with EMEA/APAC/LATAM counterparts on global parts strategy and escalate cross-regional constraints
  • Report to leadership on parts health metrics, risks, and process maturity as the function develops

Operations Project Management (Secondary / As Assigned)

  • Take on Operations Transformation and other cross-department projects from the Operations Project Portfolio as capacity allows
  • Scope objectives, activities, dependencies, budget, and risk for assigned projects; track status and escalate issues
  • Assist other Project Managers on deliverables as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in raw material, spare/service parts, or inventory planning in a manufacturing or field-service environment
  • Comfortable with ambiguity — able to build process and documentation from scratch, not just follow an existing playbook
  • Working knowledge of SAP or comparable ERP/MRP (SAP IBP/GUI a strong plus); advanced Excel, VBA a plus
  • Strong process-documentation/technical-writing skills; general project management ability for secondary project work
  • Ability to influence across all levels and global regions; self-starter, organized, continuous-improvement mindset

Keys to Success

  • Building collaborative relationships
  • Decision making
  • Drive results
  • Foster innovation
  • Personal energy
  • Self-leadership
