The Business Systems Analyst - IT reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs to identify area of improvement. Responsibilities include overseeing application and system configurations, monitoring performance and working with end-users to identify and implement potential enhancements to increase efficiency.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:

  • Consults with clients and system users to identify and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, usage, formatting, and security requirements.
  • Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures.
  • Analyzes business processes and user requirements to document project scope.
  • Creates and maintains moderately complex report, batch, interactive, and subfile programs.
  • Develops, coordinates, and implements plans to test business and functional processes during system development and quality assurance testing.
  • Identifies program, application, and system problems and resolutions.
  • Tracks and documents changes to functional and business specifications and configurations.
  • Creates or assists others in the writing of user documentation, instructions, and procedures.
  • Monitors and documents post-implementation problems and revision requests.
  • Analyzes operational errors and provides guidance to development unit as needed.
  • Complete all required training applicable to this position.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science Information Technology or a related field.
  • 2-3 years’ relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Knowledge of Structured Query Languages (tSQL and/or pSQL)
  • Ability to communicate with users, developers and managers to gain a common understanding of issues and solutions
  • Familiarity with programming languages and concepts
  • Possess creative and logical thinking skills in order to solve complex technical and business issues
  • Desire to learn vendor applications and create solutions within their given toolsets

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation is $67,770 - $84,713/year
