Oversee the monitoring, maintenance, and configuration of diverse AWS-based systems and infrastructure crucial to the success of strategic initiatives and project. Collaborate with Huron Industry leaders to construct new systems, uphold existing ones, and adhere to standard processes. Manage applications, uphold documentation, and implement standard operating procedures.

  • Specialize in AWS services, including EC2, IAM, S3, Route 53, Lambda, SQS, Secret Manager, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, VPC, and RDS, with a focus on security and integrating external firewalls.
  • Provide dedicated support for Linux and Windows environments within AWS, encompassing Amazon Linux and CentOs, Ubuntu and Windows servers.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to acquire knowledge and offer assistance in the installation and configuration of applications like SumoLogic,Tenable, Nagios, Trend, Service Now, Palo Alto, VMware. This involves deploying new or existing software, automating deployment processes, and managing upgrades and fixes.
  • Contribute to cloud security by configuring and implementing remediation actions.
  • Explore emerging technologies to deliver solutions aligned with business requirements. Collaborate with vendors and other IT professionals for effective problem resolution.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as delegated.
  • Mentor and train fellow engineers, imparting architecture best practices and fostering a problem-solving mindset.
  • Formulating new firewall rules, diagnosing firewall-related issues, and conducting peer reviews of firewall modifications in collaboration with other team members
  • Managing and maintaining our AWS Organization consisting of over 100 sub-accounts through Custom Automation, Directory Services, IAM policies, AWS SSO, and SCP's
  • Managing multiple domains through Active Directory, Group Policy implementation, and scheduled tasks
  • Implementing and securing connectivity through utilization of our Palo Alto and ASA firewalls, including but not limited to access list creation/modification and site-to-site VPN builds
  • Ensuring connectivity between cloud environments and OnPrem via site-to-site VPN builds and direct connect.
  • Overseeing and implementing cross account connectivity between network segments.
  • Develop and implement cloud security policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. 3+ Years of hands-on experience in Amazon Web Services including EC2, VPC, S3, EBS, IAM, RDS, Cloud Watch
  • Experience of designing and architect server less web applications using AWS Lambda, and API Gateway
  • Experience Architecting Backup/Restore and Disaster Recovery of AWS workloads and Databases.
  • Experience with AWS CLI and Python and PowerShell Scripts.
  • Experience in Well-Architecting of Redshift,RDS, EC2 Instances and Application Load Balancers
  • Experience in Cloud Network architecture, establishing VPN tunnels, VPC peering and VPC's for different AWS accounts.
  • Experience using and maintaining S3, EBS, EFS, SES and SQS
  • Utilizing automation services such as Lambda and CloudFormation to deploy organization-wide policies and security measures
  • Architecting networking configurations in AWS using VPC solutions in conjunction with security groups, RAM, DX, and site-to-site VPN
  • Experience working with SIEM tools such as Sumo Logic
  • An understanding of the basic architectural principles of building on the AWS Cloud.
  • AWS Certification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect and/or AWS Certified Security Specialty
  • Experience with migrating onpremise applications and infrastructure to cloud environments.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing secure cloud solutions in public, private, or hybrid cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Proficiency in cloud security best practices, encryption techniques, identity and access management (IAM), and network security.
  • 3+ Years of Palo Alto and Firewall experience

 

The estimated base salary for this job is $140,000 - $190,000 USD. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $161,000 - $237,500 USD. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
