Job Title: Senior Business Analyst Job Category: AFT, Range 24 Close Date: N/A Work Location: On-campus with 1-2 day(s) per week remote

Position Summary:

Develop new functionalities or modify existing processes to meet federal and institutional requirements, create business process guides and train staff. Review documentation related to Patches and Fixes; develop test scripts, test new and existing functionalities in Production databases. Develop reports requested by federal and state agencies, national publications and TCNJ community. Review and improve existing business processes to utilize maximum use of delivered Financial Aid and 3C functionalities. Act as a liaison between Financial Aid office and Technical Staff. Modify and maintain Web based forms and Access databases used in the Financial Aid office.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Review Financial Aid related business processes and modifications, train end users and maintain documentation.
  • Responsible for reporting functionality: Queries are integral part of many financial aid processes. To name a few, queries are created to select students for packaging, repackaging, updating budget flags using population update process and updating checklist items. The queries used in processes need monitoring and tweaking to accommodate business practice changes. Reports are developed to validate the accuracy of financial aid processes.
  • Research and resolve PAWS issues and maintain documentation.
  • Develop new functionalities.
  • Review documentation related to Patches and Fixes; develop test scripts, test new and existing functionalities in PATCH and Production databases.
  • Work with the financial aid and Enterprise Applications leadership team to determine the appropriate configuration of setup tables. Prepares related documentation, enters initial configuration table data, and maintains ongoing setup table revisions and thoroughly tests new and old business processes.
  • Database and Web Forms maintenance.
  • Responsible for estimated and official financial aid award processing and packaging using delivered processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Oracle PeopleSoft Financial Aid Management System (FAMS). Appropriate experience may be combined, for example, 2 years of aid experience in combination with 2 years of PeopleSoft would be an acceptable combination.
  • Possess an ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and meet critical deadlines.
  • A general knowledge of federal and NJ State financial aid programs. Ability to implement and troubleshoot annual federal and State financial aid regulations and policies as they relate to the College’s FAMS. Knowledge of financial aid annual reporting requirements. Knowledge of Oracle PeopleSoft annual set-up and implementation of financial aid modules as well as ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise from those program changes.
