Clan Alarms (now part of Connelly Security Systems) are based in Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, are a well established family-run business now trading for 24+ years! They serve Peterhead, Fraserburgh, Ellon, Aberdeen and Inverurie and surrounding areas. Their primary areas of specialisation include installation and maintenance of intruder alarms, CCTV equipment, fire alarms and Paxton access control system.

Job Description

As an apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to install, maintain and fault-find on the following systems:

  • Video Surveillance (including equipment from brands such as Alhua)
  • Intruder Alarms (including equipment from brands such as Enforcer, Euro and CSL)
  • Fire Alarms (including equipment from brands such as Fulleon, Appolo and C-Tec)

Entry Requirements

  • A full, clean UK driving license is strongly preferred for this role, but applicants local to Peterhead who can't drive will also be considered.
  • A keen interest in progressing within the fire and security industry
  • Good team player who is happy to be mentored by established engineers
  • Punctual and hard working
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Comfortable attending the Glasgow training centre one week in every eight weeks for face to face training at Skills for Security's training centre

Training to be Provided

This is where you'll learn the skills that employers actually want.

Your apprenticeship training is delivered by Skills for Security, specialists in fire and security training.

You’ll train through block release at our Glasgow center, for one week every eight weeks (Tuesday–Friday).

You’ll work towards a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship, gaining real skills and a nationally recognised qualification.
