The Role

CMS Engineering is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to join our Perth team.

This role is ideally suited to a Project Manager with strong HVAC construction experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of projects from planning through to completion. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of project delivery, including financial performance, procurement, subcontractor management, scheduling, commissioning, quality assurance, and stakeholder engagement. The role requires a strong focus on safety, client satisfaction, and successful project outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

Managing HVAC construction projects from initiation through to completion

Maintaining full responsibility for project budgets, cost control, invoicing, forecasting, and financial performance

Managing procurement of equipment and materials

Negotiating and managing subcontractors and supplier relationships

Programming and coordinating project activities to meet delivery timeframes

Identifying, pricing, negotiating and managing project variations

Managing project commissioning activities, including testing, balancing, demonstrations, handover and operating manuals

Ensuring all project activities are completed in accordance with WHS legislation, company procedures and site-specific safety requirements

Preparing and maintaining project documentation, reports and schedules

Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, builders, subcontractors and internal stakeholders

Driving project quality, compliance and customer satisfaction outcomes throughout the project lifecycle

Your Skills, Experience & Attributes

Minimum 5 years' experience within the HVAC construction industry

Previous experience managing HVAC construction projects or construction sites

Strong financial management and cost-control experience

Demonstrated experience managing project schedules, subcontractors and procurement activities

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Strong organisational and time-management capabilities

Sound understanding of construction project delivery and commissioning processes

Proficiency using Microsoft Office 365 applications

Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple projects and priorities

Full working rights in Australia – essential

Current Driver's Licence – essential
