The role
This role will give you the opportunity to work with executive and non-executive directors, give you broad exposure to our workplace propositions and the market we operate in and allow you to be part of a fast paced, high energy work environment.
The role-holder will lead in relation to supporting the activities of the Standard Life Master Trust Trustee Board (SLMTC), including its sub committees and Standard Life Master Trust Strategists Committee. This will include activities such as attending the relevant board/committee meetings, own and project manage the production of material required to support SLMTC and the Strategists (e.g. the chairs annual reports, TCFD Annual Report and inputs to the strategists committee) and manage the relationships with the business representatives and external suppliers that support these governance bodies.
This role will report to the Workplace Governance and Policy Lead, will require close liaison with your team colleagues, the company secretariate, the chairs of the trustee board/sub committees and occasional travel within the UK.
The role will also require you to support our trading activity by providing our Bid team with answer to Master Trust governance related questions and keeping our distribution team up to date with developments in our Master Trust governance environment.
What are we looking for?
- An extensive and in depth knowledge of workplace DC pensions, preferably Master Trust.
- Strong relationship management and project management skills.
- A good understanding of the regulatory framework applicable to Master Trust pension schemes.
- A self-motivated individual who can use their own initiative and relationship/project management skills to get things done and deliver objectives.
- A knowledge of pension scheme trustee boards core purpose and accountabilities.
