Cloud Platform Security Engineer (m/f)

Join PwC’s Advanced Technology Solutions team and help design, build, and secure modern cloud environments across GCP, AWS, and Azure. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy working at the intersection of cloud engineering, security, automation, and operations, and who want to help improve security posture across both cloud and on-prem environments. 

We’re looking for a Cloud Platform Security Engineer (m/f) who can contribute hands-on across cloud security design, scripting, controls, monitoring, troubleshooting, and remediation. This is a practical engineering role for someone who is comfortable building and improving secure cloud environments, supporting medium-sized projects, and collaborating across teams to strengthen security and operational processes.

Key Responsibilities 

• Cloud Security Engineering: Assist in designing, building, testing, and deploying security solutions across on-prem and cloud environments. 

• While we welcome strong AWS and Azure backgrounds, the current priority is for candidates who can apply their cloud security skills in GCP-focused environments. 

• Operational Security: Perform day-to-day engineering tasks across cloud security design, scripting, control implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and remediation. 

• Security Monitoring & Response: Support logging, alerting, incident triage, and remediation activities to improve visibility and resilience. 

• Documentation & Readiness: Produce and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, playbooks, and test plans. 

• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to medium-sized projects, support larger initiatives, and participate in knowledge sharing and cross-team collaboration. 

Required Skills & Experience 

• Approximately 5 years of relevant experience in cloud architecture or cloud security engineering 

• Advanced experience with at least one major cloud platform: GCP, AWS, or Azure 

• Hands-on experience with secure cloud design/configuration, cloud networking, and technical troubleshooting 

• Strong understanding of IAM and access control fundamentals, including least privilege, RBAC, and provisioning workflows 

• Basic scripting and automation skills in Python, PowerShell, or similar 

• Understanding of cloud security posture and risk management, including CNAPP/CSPM concepts 

• Awareness of DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD security, IaC hygiene, and automation frameworks 

• Strong communication and collaboration skills 

• Experience with Wiz, Prisma, or similar cloud security platforms preferred

Additional Information: 

Salary: starting from 3000 EUR/month 

(The stated salary represents the minimum for this position. Final compensation is determined individually based on your experience, expertise, seniority, and overall profile.)
