Data Analyst

Healthcare Data Analytics Experience Preferred

Location: Warwick, RI Experience: 1+ years healthcare data analytics experience Education: A minimum of a bachelor's degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, health services research, public health, health informatics, or a related field is required. A master's degree in any of these disciplines is preferred.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Data Analyst. This important role involves analyzing, interpreting, and reporting complex health data to assess the quality of health care and communicate the results of those analyses to project staff and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has experience with health care quality data, has excellent communication, problem solving and time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement appropriate statistical programs to analyze data; does so for multiple projects and on multiple project teams.
  • Applies methodological knowledge and skill to ensure appropriate data analysis and reporting in all areas.
  • Maintain data for multiple project teams; trends, charts and graphs quality measure data.
  • Develop data collection tools or surveys using REDCap or SurveyMonkey.
  • Develop and implement evaluation and analysis plans.
  • Serve as contributing author to reports, proposals, presentations and publications.
  • Summarize and present statistical and/or research findings, analytic methodologies and stakeholder reports to internal and external audiences.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, health services research, public health, health informatics, or a related field is required. A master's degree in any of these disciplines is preferred.
  • 1+ years' healthcare data analytics experience.
  • Microsoft Excel experience is required.
  • Experience in Python, PySpark or SQL is required.
  • Microsoft Power BI experience is preferred.
  • Experience in analyzing health insurance claims is preferred.

The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $75,000 based upon the candidate's relevant experience. Most qualified candidates will fall within the mid-point of this range.
