Senior Product Analyst – Matching
Department: Technology
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Cyprus
Description
We are looking for a Senior Product Analyst (Matching) to measure, understand, and improve the matching systems that power our marketplace. You will own the analytical view of how supply, demand, and marketplace efficiency behave under uncertainty and dynamic conditions, and turn that understanding into decisions that shape our matching and ranking algorithms. Unlike traditional dispatch-based matching, our marketplace operates on a unique bid-based model, where rider–driver connections are shaped through direct negotiation. This creates a fundamentally different analytical problem, requiring rigorous approaches to measuring user behavior, response dynamics, and marketplace incentives.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the metrics framework for matching quality, marketplace balance, and efficiency
- Design, run, and analyze A/B experiments to evaluate the impact of matching and ranking changes on marketplace efficiency and user experience
- Apply causal inference to isolate the effect of matching decisions on supply, demand, and user response
- Analyze and model user behavior and response dynamics in a bid-based marketplace
- Translate analysis into clear, actionable recommendations that inform matching and ranking algorithm design
- Monitor marketplace health — balance, feedback effects, and long-term matching quality — surfacing risks and opportunities early
- Partner with Data Science and Engineering to shape algorithmic improvements and validate their impact in production
- Build dashboards and analytical tooling that make matching performance observable and understandable across teams
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 3+ years in product analytics, marketplace analytics, data science, or algorithmic product optimization, preferably in marketplaces or matching/dispatch systems
- Strong background in probability theory, mathematical statistics, experimentation (A/B testing), and causal inference
- Solid understanding of marketplace dynamics (supply/demand balance, matching/dispatch)
- Ability to move from an ambiguous problem to measurable hypotheses and clear, decision-ready recommendations
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for analysis
- Experience with auction mechanics, economic models, or incentive-aware matching
- Familiarity with discrete optimization, online optimization, or RL-inspired / real-time decision systems (conceptual understanding is enough)
- Experience working with large-scale, high-load production environments
