Critical FlyTech is a new organisation created by Airbus and Critical Software to deliver the next generation of safety-critical software across aviation, defence, and space. We are growing our engineering capability and looking for talented engineers who want to work on high-impact, real-world aerospace challenges.

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Some experience (professional, academic projects, internships, or personal work) in:• React for building interactive user interfaces, particularly for simulations, visualisation tools, or engineering applications, and
  • Software development using C++ and/or Rust.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle concepts (e.g., V-cycle or similar methodologies).
  • Basic knowledge of debugging tools, testing techniques, or simulators.
  • Interest in real-time, simulation-driven, or safety-critical systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, international team environment.
  • Enthusiasm for writing clean, reliable code and learning industry best practices.
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and testing of software systems used in aerospace applications.
  • Develop a platform for interactive simulation user interfaces using React, enabling visualisation, control, and analysis of system behaviour.
  • Support simulation environments and tooling, integrating frontend interfaces with backend logic written in C++ or Rust.
  • Assist with software integration across system components, including interaction with hardware or simulation platforms.
  • Learn and apply aerospace standards such as DO-178C where relevant.
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers across software, systems, and Airbus teams.
