Network Engineer V (Program Deployment Lead – Data Center Infrastructure)Location: New Albany, OH (On-Site)Shift: Must be willing to work flexible deployment schedulesClient: Meta – Prometheus AI Infrastructure ProgramEmployment Type: ContractAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced Network Engineer V to support one of the most significant infrastructure initiatives in thetechnology industry: Prometheus, Meta’s next-generation AI supercluster project. This role is ideal for a higher network engineering professional who has progressed beyond hands-on deployment work into program-level leadership, technical oversight, and large-scale infrastructure delivery.As a Network Engineer V, you will help drive the successful deployment of large-scale data center network infrastructure while coordinating across multiple engineering, operations, vendor, and construction teams. Rather than performing day-to-day installation activities, you will focus on removing roadblocks, driving accountability, improving operational processes, and ensuring critical milestones are achieved in a fast-paced environment. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to what may become one of the largest AI computing environments in the world while working alongside industry-leading engineers and infrastructure teams. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee large-scale network deployment initiatives within data center environments.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple organizations to ensure successful execution of critical infrastructure projects.
  • Drive program-level accountability, identify risks, and proactively resolve blockers impacting deployment schedules.
  • Analyze network capacity, availability, utilization, and performance to support growth and operational requirements.
  • Review and approve network architectures, deployment plans, hardware configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including network engineering, operations, construction, vendors, and leadership stakeholders.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and implement practical improvements to increase reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
  • Leverage automation, scripting, and orchestration tools to improve deployment consistency and operational efficiency.
  • Support network maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting efforts, and infrastructure expansion projects.
  • Develop and maintain procedures, reporting mechanisms, and operational metrics related to network performance and reliability.
  • Contribute to network security initiatives and best practices, including recommendations related to firewalls, audits, and automated monitoring solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to deployment and engineering teams.

 Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in networking, infrastructure engineering, or large-scale network deployments.
  • Experience designing and deploying enterprise and/or data center network environments.
  • Strong understanding of: • Routing
  • Switching
  • Network redundancy and resiliency
  • Network troubleshooting methodologies
  • Data center operations
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing automation technologies, scripting, orchestration platforms, or infrastructure-as-code approaches.
  • Proven ability to identify operational gaps and implement process improvements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple teams.
  • Experience managing competing priorities in fast-paced, high-visibility environments.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional organizations.
  • Willingness to work shift-based schedules, including nights when required.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting large-scale data center deployment programs.
  • History with major technology organizations such as Meta, Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle, or similar hyperscale environments.
  • Prior leadership, program management, or deployment oversight experience.
  • Experience working with Tier 2 providers involved in large-scale data center construction and deployment.
  • Experience supporting Fortune 10 enterprise environments with extensive global network infrastructure.
  • Proven track record leading large, complex infrastructure initiatives from planning through execution.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of New Albany, OH.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $125.00 - $135.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
