Key Accountabilities
- Deliver recurring reports and analyses that support business decision-making in the HR and Workforce Optimisation functions within managed hotels in the Europe, Middle East, Asia & Africa (EMEAA) region.
- Translate business questions into clear actionable insight, supporting stakeholders with metric clarity, trend exploration, and operational context.
- Perform data validation and ensure reporting outputs align with KPI frameworks, governance standards, and usability expectations.
- Drive innovation within the team by identifying new ways to leverage existing data to generate richer insights and connections to other performance measures.
- Identify potential enhancements in reporting workflows, data structure usability, and semantic layer alignment
- Provide informal mentoring to analysts and collaborate across BI and data teams to resolve issues or clarify requirements
- Develop business acumen by learning how different teams interpret and act on performance data
Key Skills & Experiences
Education Bachelor’s in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or Statistics, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. Business degrees acceptable with hands-on technical experience.
Experience 1–3 years in BI or reporting; should demonstrate independent ownership of reports or insight delivery. Experience in HR / Workforce Optimisation Analytics is a plus.
Technical Skills and Knowledge
- Proficient in Tableau (or other BI platforms), with hands-on experience in dashboard building, formatting, and interactivity
- Solid knowledge of SQL for investigating data quality, metric definitions, and troubleshooting inconsistencies
- Working knowledge of semantic layer concepts (e.g., field structure, joins, hierarchies) and how they impact report usability
- Exposure to Python or similar tools for automating PowerPoint decks or repetitive tasks (preferred)
- Familiarity with reporting governance practices, including KPI alignment and version control
- Growing understanding of IHG’s business structure, key metrics, and user behavior across different stakeholder groups
- Ability to communicate findings clearly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners
- Working knowledge of SQL and dashboard tools is essential. Must show progress toward deeper storytelling and business context skills.
