About the role
The engineer will support the development, maintenance, and optimization of Copernicus data processing services within operational ground segment environments. They will also participate in system engineering lifecycle activities, including verification, validation, and anomaly investigation.

YOUR MISSION
- Support the engineering, maintenance, and evolution of Copernicus data processing services within operational ground segment environments
- Contribute to the development, integration, and optimisation of Earth Observation data processing pipelines
- Support operational monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance analysis activities
- Participate in system engineering lifecycle activities across development, integration, validation, and operations phases
- Support verification & validation (V&V) activities related to data processing systems and services
- Contribute to anomaly investigation, root cause analysis, and resolution follow-up activities
- Support automation, continuous improvement, and service reliability initiatives
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards, operational procedures, and programme requirements
- Interface with engineering teams, operations, and external stakeholders within an international environment
YOUR EXPERIENCE & TALENTS
- Proven track record in Data Processing Engineering, Ground Segment, or operational system environments
- Strong understanding of system engineering lifecycle processes
- Experience in Earth Observation, satellite operations, or space systems environments
- Experience with operational monitoring, troubleshooting, and integration activities
- Knowledge of Linux environments and scripting/programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++
- Familiarity with cloud, distributed systems, Kubernetes, Docker, or CI/CD environments is considered an asset
- Experience with verification, validation, and operational service activities
- Fluent level of the English language
