What You Would Work On:
Our teams support software solutions for R&D, services and support for Electrification Software’s products while liaising with stakeholders and customers all around the globe.
At GE Vernova’s Electrification Software business, you will join a high-performing team delivering global projects that support decarbonization and drive the energy transition. You'll receive guidance from colleagues and leaders as you develop your skills and understanding of the business.
What will be your responsibilities:
- Infrastructure & Automation: Assist in designing, building and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline the deployment of enterprise energy management solutions.
- System Configuration: Collaborate with senior engineers to configure, monitor and troubleshoot Linux/Windows-based environments, ensuring high availability and system performance.
- Tooling & Innovation: Apply your programming skills to develop custom scripts and tools that automate repetitive tasks, improve system observability, and enhance deployment speed.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate technical configurations and project statuses effectively to cross-functional teams and stakeholders, demonstrating clarity in both written and verbal presentations.
- Intern Capstone Project: Take ownership of a self-contained, intern-led project focused on solving a real-world technical challenge, allowing you to showcase your innovation and technical growth.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Academic Background: Currently pursuing a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related technical fields.
- Operating Systems: Familiarity with Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows Server environments.
- Programming & Scripting: Experience in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) and a foundational understanding of database management (SQL, Oracle).
- DevOps Fundamentals: Familiarity with modern DevOps tooling-specifically Git (GitHub/GitLab), CI/CD platforms (Jenkins), containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Analytical Rigor: Strong mathematical and analytical skills to troubleshoot complex system dependencies and optimize delivery workflows.
