Contract Project Manager - 6 months

Key Responsibilities

Migration Planning & Execution

• Develop and maintain the overall migration plan, timeline and key milestones.

• Coordinate activities across technical, operational, customer, commercial and partner workstreams.

• Coordinate migration activities across front-end, back-end, applications, data and system integrations.

• Manage cross-workstream dependencies, risks, issues and critical milestones.

• Coordinate migration testing, cutover, execution and post-migration stabilisation.

• Track progress and proactively identify potential delays or issues.

• Maintain project governance, including RAID logs, actions, decisions and status reporting.

• Facilitate project meetings and ensure actions and decisions are followed through.

• Escalate key risks, issues and decisions to senior stakeholders.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the central coordination point across internal teams and external partners.

• Work closely with technical/engineering teams as well as business and operational stakeholders.

• Coordinate with third-party vendors, technology partners and other external parties where required.

• Drive alignment across multiple teams and ensure clear communication of key activities, dependencies and decisions.

 

Post-Migration Stabilisation

• Coordinate post-migration activities and issue resolution.

• Track outstanding issues through to closure.

• Consolidate migration outcomes and provide final status reporting.

• Capture lessons learned and follow-up actions.

Key Competencies

• Strong project and programme management capability.

• Proven experience managing large-scale migration projects.

• Experience coordinating front-end and back-end migration activities.

• Good understanding of technology, systems and application dependencies.

• Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and follow-through.

• Comfortable managing multiple workstreams in a time-critical environment

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of project or programme management experience.

• Proven experience managing complex, multi-workstream projects.

• Demonstrated experience in large-scale migration, transformation or system implementation projects

• Experience involving customer, product, application, platform, data or system migration.

• Experience working closely with technical/engineering teams.

• Strong experience managing project timelines, dependencies, risks, issues and stakeholders.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Candidates who are available to start immediately or at short notice will have an advantage.

Relevant experience may include, but is not limited to:

• Banking projects involving credit card, customer, rewards or loyalty programme migrations.

• Large-scale customer or product migration programmes

• E-commerce or digital platform migrations.

• Technology or application migration projects.

• Customer account or platform consolidation projects.

• Transformation programmes involving significant changes to customer-facing and back-end systems.

• Experience from telecommunications, banking, financial services, e-commerce, digital platforms or other large-scale consumer businesses would be relevant.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing migration programmes involving multiple migration phases or tranches.

• Experience coordinating front-end, back-end, API, database or system integration activities.

• Strong technical understanding or previous hands-on technical experience.

• Experience working with engineering, architecture, infrastructure, data or application teams.

• Experience in telecommunications, subscriber migration or network migration is an advantage, but not essential.
