Job Purpose

Working with the Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for planning, developing, executing and analysing high-impact marketing plans across a portfolio of media brands, with a focus on driving subscription and newstrade revenue. You will also deliver brand awareness and lead generation campaigns, act as the brand champion, and ensure all marketing activity is on-brand and delivered to a high standard.

About the Team

Customer Marketing is a dynamic, results-driven team responsible for delivering marketing activity across Bauer’s magazine brands and events. The team develops and executes innovative marketing strategies in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing plans to achieve sales, subscription, brand awareness and lead generation targets.
  • Deliver and optimise marketing campaigns through analysis and recommendations.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all marketing communications.
  • Proactively identify new marketing opportunities and acquisition initiatives.
  • Develop customer engagement plans with the CRM team.
  • Draft terms and conditions for promotions and competitions.
  • Build relationships with editorial, circulation, publishing and commercial teams.
  • Develop third-party partnerships.
  • Support audience segmentation and targeting.
  • Manage campaigns across print, digital, CRM, social and events.
  • Prepare marketing reports with commentary and insights.
  • Analyse campaign, market and competitor performance.
  • Manage marketing budgets.
  • Support and develop junior team members.

Requirements

Knowledge & Experience

Marketing degree or equivalent professional qualification preferred.

Skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong decision-making and planning abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt plans as required.
  • Strong creative judgement and brand awareness.
  • Experience across key marketing channels (print, digital, CRM and social).
  • Influencing and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience leading or supporting junior team members.
