We're looking for an experienced Risk professional to join our Enterprise Risk team as Senior Manager, Risk – Superannuation Products & Investments. Reporting to the Head of Risk – Super, you'll provide independent Line 2 risk oversight across our superannuation product portfolio, with a particular focus on productand investments.
This is an exciting opportunity to partner with Product, Investments and Trustee teams to provide trusted risk advice, strengthen governance and support business transformation. You'll play a key role in ensuring our products continue to deliver strong member outcomes while meeting evolving regulatory expectations.
What you'll be doing
- Partner with Line 1 teams to embed Group and Trustee Risk and Compliance Frameworks across superannuation products and investment-related activities.
- Provide independent Line 2 risk oversight and constructive challenge across accumulation and retirement products, ensuring risks are effectively identified, assessed and managed throughout the product lifecycle.
- Review policies and Executive, Board and Committee papers, providing strategic risk input on governance, compliance, regulatory obligations and conflicts of interest.
- Assess the effectiveness of controls and governance arrangements across superannuation products and investments, identifying opportunities to strengthen risk management and improve member outcomes.
- Support the management of incidents, breaches and conflicts of interest, providing sound judgement on regulatory obligations, reportability and appropriate remediation.
- Contribute to incident and breach forums by delivering clear risk insights and practical recommendations that strengthen governance and control effectiveness.
- Partner with Product, Investments, Trustee, Risk and Transformation teams to provide pragmatic risk guidance that enables innovation and business change while maintaining strong governance.
- Promote a positive risk culture through collaboration, curiosity, constructive challenge and continuous improvement.
What you'll bring
- A tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Law or a related discipline.
- Strong experience within the Australian superannuation industry, including deep knowledge of accumulation and retirement products, investments, trustee obligations and the end-to-end superannuation ecosystem.
- Extensive experience in Operational Risk, Compliance or Enterprise Risk, with a proven ability to provide independent Line 2 oversight and constructive challenge.
- Strong understanding of Investment and governance frameworks, regulatory obligations and risk management practices within financial services.
- Experience strengthening controls, uplifting governance and supporting better risk outcomes across product and investment environments.
- A naturally curious and analytical mindset, with the ability to ask insightful questions, interpret complex issues and influence sound decision-making.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships, influence senior leaders and balance commercial objectives with effective risk management.
- Experience working within large, complex organisations undergoing transformation, with the ability to provide practical, solutions-focused risk advice through change.
