🔑 About the RoleWe're looking for a Senior Product Designer & Builder to join the BlueB team and shape the internal tool behind Blueground's operations. Behind the guest's experience is BlueB, Blueground's internal Property Management System, which supports the teams and workflows that enable us to manage homes, bookings, payments and day-to-day operations at scale.

As product design evolves, the boundaries between designing, prototyping and building are becoming increasingly fluid. This remains fundamentally a product design role, centered on product thinking, user experience and design craft. You'll complement these strengths with AI and technical tools to explore ideas, validate interactions and bring solutions closer to the live product.

You'll lead projects across the full product design process, from understanding the problem and validating ideas to designing and supporting the final experience through delivery. Along the way, you'll help evolve our design system and use AI-assisted coding tools to create realistic, functional prototypes that accelerate decision-making and bring design and engineering closer together.

You won't be expected to build complete production features. However, when useful, you may contribute targeted UI enhancements, refine interaction details or help close gaps between the intended design and the experience that ships.

You'll report to the Design Director and work as part of the BlueB product team, collaborating closely with Product Managers, Engineers, operational stakeholders and the wider Product Design team.

What you’ll do 

• Identify opportunities where design can improve Blueground’s operations and business performance.
• Lead projects autonomously, turning early briefs into clear, scalable solutions.
• Simplify complex internal workflows through thoughtful interaction and visual design.
• Build production-faithful prototypes using Figma and AI-assisted coding tools.
• Contribute targeted UI improvements directly to the codebase and support implementation through design QA.
• Evolve Blueprint, our design system, across components, patterns, tokens and documentation.
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering and operational teams from discovery through delivery.

About you

• Strong experience designing complex B2B, enterprise or internal products.
• Excellent product judgment and the ability to connect user needs with business value.
• Confidence working autonomously and creating structure from ambiguity.
• Strong interaction and visual design craft, including complex states and data-dense interfaces.
• Hands-on experience building or scaling design systems.
• A solid understanding of HTML, CSS and component-based front-end development, enabling effective collaboration with engineers.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools to build functional prototypes and production UI.
• A portfolio demonstrating product thinking, systems thinking, strong craft and technical prototyping.
