Software Engineer - Java 25, Spring Boot

Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We’re looking for a Software Engineer I to join our ever-evolving Alternative Payment Methods delivery team and help us unleash the potential of every business.

What you’ll own

You will collaborate with your cross-functional team to design, develop, operate and improve the products our customers enjoy using. You will work with the wider engineering department to bring solutions to challenges that require cross team collaboration. As a member of the team, you will also have a deep understanding of the product and industry you are building for.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaboratively develop the features and engineering capabilities for the products your team own. We aim to employ automation for everything.

• Collaborate in all stages of development from requirement discussions with the Product Owner to the deployment of the feature in the cloud.

• Join the on-call rota to support the highly available products developed by the squad.

• Provide your team with the tools to enable data driven decision making.

• Collaborate with your fellow engineers from other teams to make decisions around technologies, patterns and approaches to adopt.

What you'll bring

• 2-3 years of hands-on experience

• Experience in Java, Spring

• Experience working in a Continuous Delivery Environment

• Knowledgeable on technology architectures and approaches such as Event Driven Design, Domain Driven Design, Event Sourcing & CQRS

• Knowledgeable on delivering products/services in the cloud (AWS)

• Knowledgeable on BDD / TDD practices

• Knowledgeable on DevOps best practices, technologies, and tools (Ansible, Terraform)

• Fluent in English (written and verbal)
