The Position

The Technical Data Delivery Manager will own the delivery of data solutions across the Pharma Commercial ecosystem — including Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Managed Markets, Patient Services, and Commercial Analytics. This role acts as the critical link between commercial business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely data across the full commercial data lifecycle — from data acquisition and integration through to reporting and insights.

Key Responsibilities

Data Delivery & Program Management

  • Own delivery of data pipelines, integrations, and platforms supporting Commercial functions: Sales (call activity, targeting, alignments), Marketing (campaign/digital engagement), Market Access (payer/formulary data), and Patient Services (hub/specialty pharmacy data).
  • Manage data ingestion from third-party sources: IQVIA, Symphony Health/Komodo, Veeva, Definitive Healthcare, claims data (medical/pharmacy), specialty pharmacy, and distributor data.
  • Lead sprint planning, release cycles, UAT, and production go-lives in partnership with data engineering, IT, and business teams.
  • Manage timelines for recurring commercial data cycles (e.g., monthly/weekly sales data refreshes, incentive compensation cycles, alignment updates)
  • Manage key projects and programs

Business & Technical Liaison

  • Translate requirements from Commercial Excellence, Sales Operations, Marketing, and Market Access teams into technical specifications.
  • Serve as SME on commercial data domains: sales force effectiveness (SFE), CRM (Veeva/Salesforce), MDM (customer/HCP/HCO data), incentive compensation, segmentation & targeting, and syndicated data.
  • Partner with Compliance/Legal/Privacy on data usage governance (HIPAA, state privacy laws, data licensing terms with vendors like IQVIA/Veeva).

Data Quality & Governance

  • Define and monitor KPIs for data completeness, accuracy, and timeliness across commercial data feeds.
  • Establish reconciliation and exception-handling processes (e.g., HCP/HCO matching, territory alignment discrepancies, sales data anomalies).
  • Drive root-cause analysis for data issues impacting compensation, targeting, or reporting accuracy.

Team & Vendor Leadership

  • Manage data analysts/engineers and/or third-party vendors and system integrators.
  • Own vendor relationships with commercial data providers (IQVIA, Veeva, Symphony/Komodo, Definitive Healthcare, etc.).

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to automate manual data processes and improve delivery speed/scalability.
  • Support data governance initiatives across the commercial data landscape.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field (Master's a plus).
  • 7+ years in data management/delivery, with 3+ years specifically in pharma/biotech/life sciences commercial data.
  • Experience with commercial data platforms: Veeva CRM, Salesforce, MDM tools (Reltio, IQVIA OneKey), incentive compensation systems.
  • Strong knowledge of pharma commercial data sources: IQVIA (Xponent, DDD), Symphony Health/Komodo, claims data, specialty pharmacy/hub data, HCP/HCO reference data.
  • Proficiency in SQL, ETL/data pipeline tools, and cloud data warehousing (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift).
  • Program/project management experience delivering technical solutions in a regulated, matrixed environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across business and technical functions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data stack tools (dbt, Airflow, Informatica).
  • Familiarity with BI/visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Spotfire).
  • Understanding of pharma compliance (Sunshine Act, HIPAA, OIG guidelines) as applied to commercial data use.
  • Agile/Scrum or PMP certification.

Key Competencies

  • Broad domain fluency across pharma commercial functions (not siloed to one area)
  • Technical depth in data architecture/integration
  • Vendor and cross-functional stakeholder management
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving orientation
  • Comfort operating in a highly regulated, compliance-sensitive environment
