This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Product Manager - RCS & Rich Messaging based in India.
As Senior Product Manager, you will own the strategy, execution, and growth of a high-volume RCS and rich messaging product line.You will shape the next generation of business messaging across SMS, MMS, RCS, and emerging conversational channels.The role combines product strategy, market expansion, customer experience, compliance, analytics, and monetization.You will work closely with carriers, aggregators, platform providers, and internal engineering and business teams.Your decisions will influence adoption, engagement, revenue, margins, and customer retention at significant scale.This is an ideal opportunity for a commercially minded product leader who thrives in fast-moving, evolving ecosystems.You will have broad ownership and a direct opportunity to turn emerging messaging capabilities into differentiated products.

Accountabilities:
- Own the end-to-end RCS product roadmap, covering sender registration, verification, rich messaging capabilities, fallback orchestration, analytics, market expansion, pricing, and packaging.
- Define strategies to drive RCS adoption, including customer segmentation, activation triggers, migration paths from SMS/MMS, and product positioning across messaging channels.
- Monitor developments across carriers, RCS Business Messaging, aggregators, regional providers, device ecosystems, and emerging standards, translating market changes into product priorities.
- Lead international market expansion by assessing carrier readiness, device penetration, regulatory requirements, commercial viability, provider coverage, and competitive positioning.
- Define launch criteria and phased rollout plans while coordinating readiness across Engineering, Compliance, Billing, Support, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.
- Improve sender and agent registration and brand-verification experiences, reducing onboarding friction and accelerating time-to-first-message while maintaining compliance and sender reputation.
- Define rich messaging experiences including cards, carousels, suggested replies and actions, media, templates, and campaign workflows.
- Design reliable fallback and channel-orchestration experiences across RCS, SMS, and MMS, balancing customer experience, delivery, formatting, and cost considerations.
- Develop pricing and monetization strategies, analyze unit economics and margins, and identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.
- Establish and track product success metrics including activation, message volume, engagement, delivery performance, revenue, margin, and retention impact.
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Enablement to develop positioning, launch plans, documentation, training materials, and adoption programs.
- Use customer research, product analytics, experimentation, SQL, dashboards, and market intelligence to identify opportunities, diagnose adoption barriers, and guide product decisions.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Finance, Compliance, and external partners to translate customer and business needs into scalable product solutions.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of Product Management experience within SaaS, CPaaS, telecommunications, platform technology, or related environments.
- Demonstrated success launching and scaling customer-facing products, preferably within an emerging or rapidly evolving technology ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of messaging channels and their economics, with SMS/MMS experience required and RCS, WhatsApp, or other rich messaging experience strongly preferred.
- Proven experience with pricing, packaging, monetization, usage-based models, or other commercial product strategies.
- Experience managing external technology ecosystems involving carriers, aggregators, platform providers, or other third parties whose capabilities and roadmaps influence product decisions.
- Experience expanding products into new countries or regions, including market readiness assessments and phased international launches.
- Strong analytical capabilities, including experience with SQL, BI tools, dashboards, product analytics, experimentation, or comparable data-driven methodologies.
- Ability to balance customer requirements, technical limitations, regulatory and compliance considerations, and commercial objectives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence executives, technical teams, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong ownership, accountability, prioritization, and execution skills in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Familiarity with RCS Business Messaging, agent registration, rich messaging, A2P compliance, sender registration frameworks, or carrier ecosystems is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of messaging aggregators, multi-provider routing, channel fallback, international messaging markets, or regional carrier relationships is beneficial.
- Experience with usage-based billing, margin analysis, revenue growth initiatives, APIs, webhooks, event-driven architectures, or platform products is a plus.
- Experience working within remote, globally distributed teams and high-growth B2B SaaS environments is advantageous.
