Responsibilities

We are looking for Business Systems Analyst. This work will be performed onsite near Hampton, VA.

What you'll do:

  • Provide expertise to support development, Project Management activities in the realm of Requirements Management, Design Management as well as Special Projects of DoD business management applications for Commander, Navy Installation Command (CNIC) programs.
  • Applies expertise and experience in full life-cycle support while designing, documenting, testing, and deploying business management applications.
  • Analyzes business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems, such as financial tracking systems, requirements and design tracking systems, help desk management tracking systems.
  • Works independently or as a member of a small to medium size team to develop requirements and design for on-line applications that are deployed in a cloud environment to users across the world.
  • Adhere to sound software requirements and design processes and participate in an agile environment where high quality delivery is an expectation.
  • Participate in the development of software user manuals and demonstrations of software releases to customers.
  • Participate in planning, daily progress, periodic reviews, and lessons-learned meetings.
  • Works with government stakeholders to design, develop, integrate, and test solutions for business requirements
  • Leading requirements elicitation with government stakeholders to design, develop, integrate, and test solutions for business requirements.
  • Documents and completes high-level and detailed designs and translates into proper system design specifications and requirements. This includes using requirement and design tools to track your tasks, manage application changes, and update software requirements specification (SRS)/ software design description (SDD) documentation.
  • Working with government stakeholders to gather requirements and design UI Mockups based on those requirements.
  • Analyze and document business processes (internal and customer)
  • Track and ensure all software user manuals and end user documentation is completed for each application release.
  • Assisting with any post ATO process documentation work that gets delegated, from the ongoing and upcoming accreditation efforts. This includes assisting with vulnerability remediation efforts.
  • Assisting with Help Desk management responsibilities. This includes assisting with the tracking of customer issues from the CNIC Help Desk and notifying the proper departments when they come in.

Qualifications

What you'll need:

  • U.S. Citizen
  • AA/AS with 7 years experience, BS/BA with 5 years experience, MS/MA with 3 years of experience or in lieu of degree, 9 years of applicable experience.
  • Experience with working with customers to develop system requirements and designs.
  • Knowledge of the phases of software life cycle design and development.
  • Background with developing high-level and detailed requirements, detailed design documents, and requirements traceability documents.
  • Experience developing high-level and detailed software user manuals and end user documentation.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Office applications and have the ability to learn unique software applications such as requirements and design repository systems.
  • Professional and have strong written and oral communication skills.

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. EEO
