Responsibilities

We’re looking for a Staff Engineer, Commercial Data Platform in GCS-Technology.

  • Cultivate an environment of continuous improvement through technical guidance, coaching, mentoring, and feedback
  • Lead the technical strategy to scale data risk management and data governance best practices across the commercial ecosystem
  • Be a key leader on the effort to continuously improve the trust and reliability of our critical operational data-driven workloads
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and cross functional partners to deliver collaboratively
  • Perform hands-on architecture, design, development, and testing
  • Implement process improvements to streamline areas for your team such as hiring, onboarding, software delivery, and internal/external communication
  • Drive and execute on high-level & detailed technical decisions

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Expertise with a major cloud vendor (AWS/GCP)
  • Expertise with spark, python, SQL
  • Experience partnering cross functionally and being a hands-on leader to drive successful execution
  • Strong understanding of data governance best practices and technical patterns to implement them at scale

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building unified data driven solutions with a data-lakehouse architecture
