Lead Regional & Global Engineering Excellence as an Engineering Manager
Are you ready for the next step in your career? We are looking for an experienced, energetic, and global thinking person to manage and develop our plant engineering activities. Pulp, Energy and Circularity business line supplies complete pulp mills and process equipment for chemical and mechanical pulp production, as well as biomass- and waste-fueled power plants, boiler islands and related environmental systems. The business area’s customers are mainly pulp producers and power and heat producers.
You will report to Vice President, Global Engineering and will be part of the PEC Global Engineering Management Team. You will work closely together with other engineering and project execution functions as well as the TUs and BUs.
Position is located in Chennai, Tamilnadu.
Your responsibilities
- You will lead and coordinate complex engineering projects, creating detailed plans and ensuring technical activities are integrated effectively across teams.
- You will collaborate with management, production, and marketing teams to align engineering specifications, processes, and project goals.
- You will assess technology, resource requirements, and market demand to evaluate project feasibility and optimize engineering workflows.
- You will oversee engineering department activities and subcontractor performance to ensure successful project execution and business outcomes.
- You will build and lead a high-performing engineering team through recruitment, performance management, succession planning, and team development.

- You have strong people leadership experience, including team structure design, performance management, and talent development.
