[What the role is]
This is a full-time Lecturer position dedicated to delivering high-quality education in the field of cybersecurity. The role involves teaching and mentoring learners across foundational cybersecurity concepts, alongside broad-based exposure to cloud computing and software fundamentals. The successful candidate will contribute to curriculum delivery, provide academic guidance, and help learners build essential skills for technology careers. The role will also support industry-relevant student projects and collaborate with internal and external partners.
[What you will be working on]
The successful candidate will:
- Facilitate learning units covering fundamental cybersecurity concepts (threats, risk management, and basic security technologies), network security, cloud computing principles, and foundational software systems.
- Supervise student projects and provide academic guidance.
- Develop and update training materials and student assessments.
- Support curriculum reviews and academic operations.
- Stay current with emerging technology trends, integrate updated practices into teaching, and support industry-aligned learning initiatives.

[What we are looking for]
We are seeking a candidate who possesses:
- Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
- Solid grounding in cybersecurity fundamentals, coupled with broad-based knowledge in cloud computing architecture and services, and basic software development principles.
- Experience or familiarity with standard security tools, cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), and common software environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a clear interest in teaching, guiding, and supporting learners.
- Certifications (Advantage): Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or CEH.
