What you will do

• Infrastructure Management: Provision, configure, and maintain production and staging environments on DigitalOcean using Ansible.

• CI/CD Optimization: Manage and scale GitLab CI/CD runners and GitHub pipelines to reduce wall-clock time and ensure reliable deployments.

• Security & Compliance: Lead technical preparations for the GMO Japan security audit. Implement encryption at rest, manage secrets via Ansible Vault, and remediate vulnerabilities (e.g., log redaction, TLS hardening, and session security).

• Observability: Maintain and expand our LGTM stack (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir). Configure alerting via Alertmanager and integrate Cloudflare WAF metrics.

• Database Operations: Manage and optimize Postgres, OpenSearch, and Redis clusters, including migrations, backups, and performance tuning.

• Networking: Configure and secure cross-region traffic using WireGuard and manage edge services like Cloudflare and our custom NATS messaging layer.

• Incident Management: Participate in the on-call rotation, handling P1-P4 incidents and conducting post-mortems to drive long-term reliability.

What you will need

• Cloud: Proven experience with DigitalOcean (Droplets, Load Balancers, Managed Databases).

• IaC & Automation: Expert-level knowledge of Ansible (Ansible Vault, Ansible-core 2.24+).

• CI/CD: Deep experience with GitLab CI/CD (runner concurrency, pipeline optimization) and GitHub Actions.

• Databases: Strong administration skills in PostgreSQL (performance tuning, migrations) and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.

• Security: Experience with TLS/SSL hardening, WAF configuration (Cloudflare), and Secrets Management.

• Monitoring: Proficiency with Grafana, Loki, and Prometheus/Alertmanager.

• Operating Systems: Advanced Linux administration (Ubuntu/Debian preferred)

• Experience in the Domain Industry (EPP protocols, WHOIS/RDAP compliance) is a plus.

• Familiarity with WordPress Cloud provisioning and edge webservers (Nginx) is a plus.

• Experience with NATS or other high-performance messaging systems is a plus.

• Knowledge of Go or Node.js for infrastructure tooling is a plus.
