Minimum Requirements:

  • Three to five years of experience supporting business applications, service management, technical business analysis, or IT delivery within a complex enterprise environment
  • University degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration (IT focus), or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues, analyze data, document processes, and develop practical solutions to support business operations
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with business partners, vendors, and cross-functional technical teams
  • Experience coordinating support activities, managing competing priorities, and working across multiple applications or technology portfolios
  • Understanding of IT service management practices, change management processes, and vendor-supported environments, with exposure to platforms such as ServiceNow considered an asse
  • Experience or interest in industrial, operational, maintenance, reliability, EH&S, or other asset-intensive business applications, along with a passion for continuous learning, automation, and process improvement

Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day operation of business applications by managing incidents, service requests, monitoring activities, routine maintenance, patch coordination, and issue resolution
  • Create and maintain support documentation, knowledge articles, runbooks, and standard operating procedures to improve service consistency and efficiency
  • Coordinate and oversee work performed by external support providers, ensuring compliance with service levels, quality expectations, and change management standard
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness through automation, self-service capabilities, and process enhancements that reduce manual effort
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical teams to gather requirements and support solution delivery from design through deployment
  • Work closely with Digital Solutions & Support, Enterprise Data, Cyber, and Cloud teams within Agile and Product Model ways of working to deliver and sustain technology solutions
  • Support ongoing application enhancements, problem resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives while developing expertise across the application portfolio and related business processes
  • Analyze trends, recurring issues, and service performance metrics to help improve application reliability, user experience, and overall operational excellence

Location and other Key Details:

  • This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday with occasional site visits
  • Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines, and the pay band will generally be based on years of experience and scope of work
